title: Respiration Bladder, 1997
materials: blown glass, steel, welded Saran wrap (interior bladder), plastic tubing, one-way air valves, funnels
description: Device to condense liquid from breath. Three mouthpieces are available for a participant to exhale into. One-way valves from deconstructed dust masks ensure that air only goes into the device, not out. Tubing directs the moist air into a welded Saran wrap bladder that expands with each breath. As the breath cools, liquid condenses and drips from the a tube into the blown-glass container beneath.
